A master's job is never done, it lives on through the ages.

The Installation for 1965 was held on January 9th and was attended by a large number of people. Entertainment was by Mr. Alex Molnar exhibiting his talents on the piano playing several renditions. Refreshments were served afterwards in the dining hall.

It was noted in the minutes of the January stated meeting that on December 29, 1964, Bro. Arthur Boice passed away and was laid to rest on December 31, 1964. Kind words spoken were, "Bro. Arthur having served the community for so many years as its undertaker, had a multitude of friends who attended the service. He had been a member of Clovis Lodge for many years. "

I the stated meeting of May there was a mention of 25 year service pins as a mode of recognition but nothing was done on the matter. On Past Master's night which was May 20th, Past Master Richard Greene, was visiting from Santa Cruz and complemented the Lodge on its interior and exterior appearance's as compared with earlier years.

Throughout the summer there were many different activities in the Lodge. There was another PG&E Degree in June and the picnic which was attended by many was held in August. In September there was another 50 pin presentation for Bro. Southerland after having been raised in Clovis Lodge in 1915.

On October 4th, Bro. Frank Carpenter passed away at a Fresno Hospital. Services were held at the Chapel of the Light on October 7th. Kind words spoken were, "Brother Frank with his kind and genial good nature will long be remembered by those who knew him." Brother Carpenter was very active in Clovis Lodge during the early formation of the Lodge often donating items and more importantly his time to the Lodge.

On October 9th, 55 years after their grandfather was the first Master of Clovis Lodge, 6 direct descendants of Brother Leroy Taylor the first Past Master of Clovis Lodge, visited Clovis Lodge to confer a third degree on Bro. Taylor's great grandson, Bro. Steven W. Taylor. All of Bro. Taylor's descendants were members of Elmhurst Lodge 610 in Oakland, Ca.

In December the annual Roll Call dinner had over 130 people in attendance. A fine time was had by all with good food and better conversation.
